Now is the perfect time to start crafting an outstanding application for the class of 2016 (business school) or 2018 (college).  Starting now will enable you to take all the necessary steps to gain admission to the best possible program.  Schools review your application holistically, and you want to make sure that all components are as strong as they can be.  You also want to have an integrated persona, to minimize areas of concern, to choose the best recommenders, and to maximize your testing profile.  Some candidates may need to start demonstrating community involvement.

Selecting schools that are the best fit for you, writing essays, refining your resume, and preparing to interview take longer than you think.  The last thing that you want is to invest significant resources into one area (like test prep), and wind up rushing through others (like the essays). The end result would be an underwhelming application.

I feel so strongly about the advantages inherent in starting early that I am offering 2012 package rates to candidates who sign up with North Star by May 1st.  We will map out a schedule that allows you to navigate the admissions process in a thoughtful way, with minimal stress.  You will not regret giving yourself enough time to create a compelling application that fully conveys your strengths.
